Structure-Borne / Airborne Noise Measurement

Tekno - ETA > Structure-Borne / Airborne Noise Measurement

Structure-Borne Noise is a level of sound that may be generated by an impact or oscillating solid and transmitted through the solid body to adjacent solid bodies. In example; the vibration transmitted to foundation which was generated by the rotor blades of a ventilation fan.

In Tekno-ETA, we use up to 16 analog channels simultaneously to measure structure-borne noise and able to extend the number of channels via daisy-chaining multiple channels together. We can measure the Structure-Borne Noises with dynamic range of 160 dB and up to 200 kHz sampling rate per channel. The services provided for all active shipboard equipment can be listed as;

  • Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
  • Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT)
  • Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT)
  • Detecting the unwanted noise source and troubleshooting the problem with a proper design review report.
  • Natural Frequency Evaluation
  • Transmision Loss Analysis
  • Transfer Function Generation
  • FFT Analysis
  • Octave Analysis
  • Modal Testing
  • SRS Calculation
  • In-Situ Measurement
  • Shock and Vibration Isolation Solutions

Airborne Noise is any sound that transmitted by air called airborne sound. We can measure sound level with dynamic range of 120 dB within broadband linear frequency range of 3 Hz to 200 kHz.

Our services for airborne noise measurement can be listed as;

  • Environmental noise assessment and monitoring
  • Occupational noise evaluation
  • Selection of hearing protection
  • Class 1 sound measurements to the latest international standards
  • Real-time analysis of sound in 1/1- and 1/3-octave bands
  • Analysis of time histories for broadband parameters and spectra (Logging)
  • In-Situ Measurement
  • Documentation of measurements using text and voice annotations
  • Documentation of measurements through recording of measured sound
