Climatic Testing

Tekno - ETA > Climatic Testing

Climatic testing puts a system through a range of predefined scenarios that controls the parameters such as temperature and humidity of the environment. Temperature, humidity and other climatic influences can have an effect on the performance and robustness of a given systems. Climatic testing accelerates and simulates the environmental cycles that the designed system is predicted to encounter during its lifetime and ensures a satisfactory performance.

High / Low Temperature Testing

  • This testing allows weakness to be identified in the product over wide temperature ranges without introducing temperature shock.
  • High temperature test is used to determine the resistance of the materiel to high temperature. This test can be applied to observe behaviour of electronics (resistance etc.). We can apply constant temperature and cyclic temperature testing.
  • Low temperature tests are being  used to determine the resistance of the system to low temperature levels. The temperature of the testing chamber is lowered to minus degree temperature levels and the system being tested is exposed to conditioned environment for a certain time period to be able to see the system endurance for its operation and storage modes.

Humidity Testing

  • Humidity resistance is a major consideration especially for systems involving electrical components.
  • The purpose of humidity-controlled tests is to determine the resistance of system under test to the effects of a warm and humid atmosphere.
  • In Tekno-ETA, we can overlap humidity specifications with temperature testing.
